Goodwill Welcomes New Director of Mission Services
Goodwill of South Mississippi is pleased to welcome LeAnna Morgan Saucier as the new Director of Mission Services at the Gulfport-based non-profit, which provides job skills training, employment, and supportive services for individuals seeking a sustainable career path.
“We have a lot of plans for expanding our impact, helping to strengthen families as we uplift people in the communities we serve,” said Goodwill interim CEO Paige Derouen. “LeAnna’s background in workforce development and community relationship-building makes her a great fit to lead our mission services, as we strive to eliminate barriers and help people find meaningful employment.”
Saucier was previously with Memorial Health System, where she was the Workforce Development Manager. She worked in the media for more than 10 years and has more than eight years of non-profit experience, mainly focused on fundraising and business development. She serves on several civic committees and is a member of the board of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Gulf Coast, Steps Coalition, and is the co-chair of the Lighthouse Business and Professional Women.
“I have always had a passion for helping others and giving back from my days as a much younger professional and having opportunities to get involved in many philanthropic organizations and community outreach events,” said Saucier, who joined Goodwill in December. “In every job I have ever had, I worked with individuals from all walks of life, and I’ve also experienced what it’s like to be on the receiving end of needing assistance of some kind. This experience coupled with my professional experience has truly shaped who I am today.”
Saucier has been named one of Gulf Coast Woman Magazine’s “100 Successful Women to Know." She graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a BA in Broadcast Journalism, and she is a graduate of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Gulf Coast.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to work for Goodwill of South Mississippi to help grow Mission Services and workforce development initiatives,” said Saucier. “I truly believe that jobs change lives, and I love Goodwill’s stance on providing a hand up not a handout and giving those we serve the tools they need to succeed.”
